Back in September, CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to become the AEW World Champion for the second time in his career at All Out. Punk then participated in the post-show media scrum where he took several shots at Colt Cabana, Adam Page, MJF and The Elite.
Following his appearance at the post-show media scrum Punk and Ace Steel were involved in a physical altercation with The Elite and recently it’s been reported that AEW is trying to buy out Punk’s contract.
Today Tony Khan participated in a call with the media to talk about the Full Gear pay-per-view this weekend, and he noted that he didn’t know what CM Punk was going to say during the post-show press conference.
Khan noted that he was thinking ahead about what he was going to say when Toni Storm and Swerve/Keith Lee joined the press conference. Tony had positive things to say about CM Punk’s contributions to AEW, but noted that he can’t comment beyond that.
