Yesterday was National Best Friend day so if you missed a chance to post a picture of you and your bestie you’ve got to save it until next year. If you share a post the day after National Best Friend Day then your friend will know what’s up and how much you pay attention. It’s best to just wait until next year, trust us.
Many WWE superstars shared social media posts in honor of the make shift holiday including Charlotte Flair who shared a picture with Becky Lynch and Kurt Angle who sent a lovely message to his wife.
Another person who shared a post on National Best Friend Day was Tommaso Ciampa. He shared a picture of himself and Johnny Gargano that really speaks volumes. It looks like they’re still best friends even though they’ve gone their separate ways.
Apparently when Tommaso Ciampa attacked Johnny Wrestling and ended Team DIY’s partnership at TakeOver: Chicago it was because The Psycho Killer Ciampa knew he was hurt and just wanted to kill #DIY like Old Yeller. But their friendship is still very much intact.
You can tell by the two panel collage he chose that Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano have been through a lot. We can bet once Ciampa is fully healed and back in action it won’t be the last time we’ve seen of these two in the ring together either. After all, they might be great friends but the former members of Team DIY also happen to be excellent enemies as well. If you need proof check out their epic match during the Cruiserweight Classic.
It was a sad thing to lose Team DIY in NXT’s tag ranks. But with their split came the opportunity to see two new singles stars emerge from the team. It was a pretty cool message for Tommaso to send out even though it also kind of broke kayfabe. But kayfabe is dead anyway, much like Team DIY apparently (but not their friendship).
