TNT Reportedly Nixed Original Plans For AEW Dynamite This Week

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured The Elite taking on The Dark Order in the main event, and The Elite came out dressed as the Ghostbusters while The Dark Order came out dressed as cowboys.

Fightful Select is reporting that the decision to have The Elite dress as Ghostbusters on Dynamite was a late call. Originally The Elite were supposed to do a Squid Game inspired entrance for the show, but WarnerMedia or TNT officials found out about the plans and nixed them.

A source noted that they weren’t sure if TNT understood how much a parody the costumes were supposed to be, but it’s being said that there’s no heat between TNT and AEW over the idea being nixed.

AEW producer Mikey Rukus noted on Twitter that he got a call around 5:30 asking him to put together a Ghostbusters themed entrance track on short notice when he posted the following:
