Yesterday a story was floating around the internet saying that TNA made a play for CM Punk and they got shut down. Now TNA is denying that story saying it’s not true.
PWInsider reports that TNA sources they spoke to say there is no truth to the report on Punk. One commented, “No offer was made, officially or via an intermediary – no truth to that rumor.”
Sounds like the type of comment someone would make after they offered CM Punk a contract and he turned it down.
This is the same company who denied that Vince Russo wasn’t working for them for almost a year only to be like “j/k, Vince Russo is totally working for us.”
With that being said, CM Punk return to his couch = imminent.
