Over the last few years All Elite Wrestling has been adding more pay-per-view events to their annual schedule on on Sunday, October 1 the first ever AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view will air live.
Adam Cole and MJF were originally set to defend the ROH Tag Team Championship at WrestleDream, but it seems that there could be some issues with the title match.
MJF defended his AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe earlier this week at Grand Slam, and at one point during the match Adam Cole ran down then jumped off the ramp. After Cole landed he started limping.
Following the show Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported that Adam Cole suffered an injury at the end of AEW Grand Slam, but that he was later released from the hospital and on crutches.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that no one has heard anything regarding a diagnosis on Adam Cole and because no one has heard anything people are fearing the worst. It’s being said that due to Adam Cole’s status the ROH Tag Team Championship match at WrestleDream is now in jeopardy.
So far Tony Khan has yet to make any official announcements regarding the title match or Adam Cole’s status. Stay tuned for updates.
