WrestleMania weekend has come and gone and now all eyes are looking ahead to the WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view next month. Charlotte Flair managed to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship when she defeated Ronda Rousey on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and this week on SmackDown fans saw Rousey challenge Flair to an I Quit match.
WWE has confirmed that Charlotte Flair will indeed defend her title against Ronda in an I Quit match with the match set to take place at WrestleMania Backlash.
It was recently reported that WWE booked Ronda Rousey to take the loss at WrestleMania because the plan is for Ronda and Charlotte Flair to have a long-term program moving forward.
The WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view will air live on Sunday, May 8th. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
