On Sunday night The Miz and Shane McMahon defended the SmackDown Tag Team Titles against The Usos at Elimination Chamber, and they lost the belts when The Miz got pinned.
Shane McMahon kicked off SmackDown this week, but he was quickly interrupted by The Miz.
The Miz told Shane that he used him, because he knew that they both felt the same way about their fathers. Miz talked about how his dad appeared on SmackDown and told him he was proud of him, and he loved him. He said it was the first time he’s ever heard him say that.
Miz was on the verge of tears as he said it was one of the greatest moments of his life. He thanked Shane for making it happen, then apologized for letting Shane down and losing the titles.
The Miz got the crowd to chant “rematch” as The Usos came out. The Usos said Shane doesn’t want the rematch because The Miz is a joke, a loser, a failure and a fraud.
They told Shane to find a different partner, and Shane got heated then told them not to disrespect his partner.
Shane then booked a SmackDown Tag Team Title match for Fastlane next month.
