A few weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon made a historic announcement when she revealed that the first ever women’s Royal Rumble match will take place at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view in just a few weeks.
This week on Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle confirmed that the match will have 30 participants, which means we’ll likely be seeing some surprises given the number of women that are currently on the WWE main roster.
It will be interesting to see who ends up in the match, but in the meantime, three SmackDown Live stars have confirmed they’ll be entering the first ever women’s Royal Rumble.
Lana, Tamina and Miss Money in the Bank Carmella posted the following:
I’ve heard so many people say what others can and cannot do. I won’t listen to them and I will prove them all wrong. I’ll be in the CENTER of the ring and in the #RoyalRumble match. See you soon, @WrestleMania ❤️⚜️ #RumbleForAll

I’ve been in this business LONG before these girls saw a ring. The #RoyalRumble match is in my blood…it’s in my DNA and a #WrestleMania match for #WomensTitle is my future. #RumbleForAll

Moon-walkin’, trash-talkin, (2x) winner of #MITB & soon enough I’m going to be Ms. #RoyalRumble match winner. One way or the other, that gold is going to sit around my waist. #RumbleForAll
