Three Matches Announced For SmackDown Live, Nia Jax Wants To Face Former Women’s Champion

The next episode of WWE SmackDown Live will continue the build up for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and now three matches have been announced for the show.

WWE has announced that the US Title tournament will continue with Bobby Roode facing Mojo Rawley, and Xavier Woods facing Jinder Mahal. It’s also been announced that Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Naomi will be facing The Riott Squad.

Current WWE Raw Superstar Nia Jax recently spoke to Sky Sports, and she talked about who she would love to face. Jax named former WWF Women’s Champion Bull Nakano as someone she wants to wrestle, and she noted that the women of Bull’s era didn’t get the spotlight.

“I would love to get in the ring with Bull Nakano,” she told Sky Sports. “I would be so excited. Watching her back in the day, she [Nakano] is the definition of a badass woman,” she said. “If you look back at their wrestling matches they were revolutionary back then, they just didn’t get the spotlight that we do now.”

“If it wasn’t for those women putting in the work and the time, and showing people what they can do then I don’t think we would have had the opportunities to show what we can do now. They went insane. If you go back and watch that stuff, it’s so cool. I always study and watch them, it was super cool.”
