CM Punk got into a physical altercation with Jack Perry backstage All In over the weekend, and now the wrestling world is trying to figure where things go from here. It was recently reported that CM Punk and Jack Perry have both been suspended, but AEW has yet to officially confirm that.
Fightful Select reports that AEW did indeed launch an investigation into the situation involving CM Punk and Jack Perry. At this point in time the company is collecting statements and interviews about what happened.
There is said to be video footage of the incident as there are cameras all over Wembley Stadium. Recently it was reported that CM Punk also got into an altercation with Tony Khan, and Fightful is now reporting that they’ve heard the confrontation between Punk and Khan was “contentious” but little context was provided in regard to the situation.
As of right now the backstage issues are not a work. Due to the nature of wrestling it’s possible that the situation could be turned into a work down the line, but as of right now the issues are legitimate.
