CM Punk had been out of action since September of 2022, but Punk made his return to AEW on Saturday night for the debut episode of Collision. Punk returned to the ring in the main event and he also kicked off the show with a fiery promo.
During his promo CM Punk took a shot at The Young Bucks when he said, “You know what David Zaslav calls me? One Bill Phil. That’s because I am the one true genuine article in a business full of counterfeit Bucks.”
The Young Bucks reacted to CM Punk’s line when they updated their Twitter bio which now reads as follows: “If it were 2018, we’d already have a “Counterfeit Bucks” shirt available on PWT. Kill it y’all.”

While many fans have hoped that CM Pun and The Elite could work out their issues and face off in the ring CM Punk recently said during an interview with ESPN that he’s been told it won’t happen. Punk also indicated that he’s willing to sit down and work things out, but that hasn’t happened yet.
