Since All Elite Wrestling first launched in 2019 the company has signed a number of notable names. Orange Cassidy made his debut with AEW at the first ever Double or Nothing pay-per-view, and he’s since become one of the top stars in the company.

During a recent interview with Tunnel Talk, Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks reflected on his friendship with Orange Cassidy and noted that he still has Cassidy in his phone under his old wrestling name Fire Ant. Jackson also claimed that Tony Khan originally wasn’t very high on Orange Cassidy.

“Chuck Taylor, of course, we’ve been good buddies with him since the CHIKARA days as well. It’s funny, there is a lot of the CHIKARA guys backstage to this day. Bryce Remsberg is another one, we’ve always been friends with him too.

A lot of those guys, we specifically hired because of our CHIKARA days with them. I remember that Tony [Khan] wasn’t very high on Orange Cassidy at first so we had to kind of sell him on him for a little bit. And I remember Tony saying: ‘You guys were right.’”

Since making his debut with All Elite Wrestling back in 2019, Orange Cassidy has been consistently featured on AEW programming, and he’s become a two time International Champion. Recently Cassidy main evented the Worlds End pay-per-view when he faced off against Jon Moxley, Jay White and Adam Page in a four way match for the AEW World Championship.
