For the last few years The Undertaker mostly just competed at WrestleMania before he finally hung up his boots following the Show of Shows in 2020. At WrestleMania 34 John Cena took on The Deadman, but the length of the match surprised many because it only lasted a few minutes.
Taker hasn’t been shy about letting the world know that he was disappointed with his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, and he recently noted on the Victory Over Injury podcast that he trained extra hard for his match with Cena at WrestleMania 34.
However, Taker noted that he was also surprised when he found out he was only getting a few minutes to work with Cena on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
“I was working with Cena, over in like four or five minutes. I was like, “You gotta be kidding me?!” Because I trained harder than I had ever… I train hard as it is, to get ready for Mania. But I had an extra, I had to be redeeming myself. If I’m gonna do this I’m gonna redeem myself to the point where that (WM 33) was just a flash and a bad memory. And then we go out in four minutes. Vince thought it was hilarious!”
