For decades The Undertaker’s WrestleMania matches were one of the biggest highlights of the year, and The Deadman managed to go 21-0 before he was finally defeated by Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30.
Throughout his career The Undertaker faced off against some legendary names on the Grandest Stage of Them All, and he picked up a big win over Ric Flair at WrestleMania 18.
While talking about his match with Ric Flair on the Six Feet Under podcast The Undertaker revealed that Vince McMahon offered him a choice between a match with Rob Van Dam, or a match with Ric Flair.
“I remember Vince coming to me that year, he’s apologising to me. He goes ‘Mark, I don’t have anyone for you. You could either have RVD or or Flair.’ Nothing against RVD, I have really good matches with RVD, but I was like Flair.
He looked at me like what? I’m like I want Flair. Flair had a run in the WWE but he wasn’t a WWE guy. For me, it’s Ric Flair at WrestleMania. Are you kidding me? Flair was on the backside of his career but still, that whole thing was a lot of fun.”
