The Undertaker is one of the most well known wrestlers in history, and his Deadman character has been involved in some big moments over the years.
But fans have often wondered if they would ever see the return of the American Badass, and at WrestleMania 36 they saw a mix of the two characters in the first ever Boneyard Match.
During an interview with Nine Line Apparel Undertaker talked about creating a new version of his character for the match, and he explained why he refers to it as the Unholy Trinity.
“When AJ threw that first stone and made this personal, then it made it a no brainer. I couldn’t stay that mainstream Undertaker and be able to respond and deal with the things he was saying in that character. A lot of people were curious, ‘What is the Unholy Trinity?’ Well, the Unholy Trinity that I referenced was The Deadman, The Badass, and the man himself, Mark Calaway, and I put them all together. My brain was working that way, it was the unification of all these three entities into one person.”
It’s expected that if The Undertaker does make more appearances on WWE programming moving forward that fans will see something similar to the character he used in the Boneyard Match.
