Over the last few years there have been several WWE stars who have managed to take their career to the next level and Gunther has made history by becoming the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time. The Ring General has impressed many people in the wrestling industry including The Undertaker.
Recently The Undertaker shared his opinion of Gunther on his Six Feet Under podcast and he praised the current Intercontinental Champion while making it clear that he’s very high on The Ring General.
“I really like him. I think the sky’s the limit for him. I think he’s a little bit of a throwback to a different era, but has the ability to work and tell stories.
I mean he just had that match with Dom [Mysterio] which is tough, a heel versus a heel is a tough match when somebody doesn’t turn. He kept Dominik a heel and he kept himself a heel, and I’m really, really high on him. But, yeah, we would probably fistfight about two chops in.”
Gunther will be in action at WrestleMania 40 next month as it’s been confirmed that he’ll be defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sami Zayn.
