The Roman Reigns Mystery Attacker Storyline Was Reportedly “Botched So Bad”

For weeks now the Roman Reigns mystery attacker storyline has been dominating WWE programming, but fans have noticed that the angle doesn’t seem to have a clear direction.

It was recently reported that only Vince McMahon knows where the storyline is going, and The Wrap is now reporting that a WWE insider claims the storyline was “botched so bad” and that “explaining to anyone what it was supposed to be wouldn’t make any sense at all.”

WWE recently made some changes on the creative team with Ed Koskey replacing Ryan Ward as the lead writer of SmackDown Live.

Jonathan Baeckstrom, former leader writer of 205 Live, is now working on Raw under Paul Heyman.

Ward is said to be on a “short-term leave of absence,” and will likely join WWE’s home team of writers, the non-traveling group of writers, when he returns.

According to The Wrap, the changes were made due to a perceived lack of direction on SmackDown.
