Over the last few months there’s been a lot of buzz heading into the new year as WWE Monday Night Raw is set to premiere on Netflix in January. The debut episode is set to take place from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA and a number of big names are expected to appear at the event.
During a recent Backstage Pass Q&A, WrestleVotes shared an update on The Rock’s status for the upcoming premiere episode of Raw on Netflix, and it was confirmed that The Final Boss will be there
“Are you counting Rock as a surprise or are you counting Cena as a surprise? I mean, they’ll both be there. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve Austin showed up. I’ve heard that Shawn Michaels may make an appearance. Anybody that they have under a legends deal, that is healthy enough to be in Los Angeles, I would expect to be there.”
It will be interesting to see how The Rock is used if he does indeed appear. There’s been a lot of speculation regarding how involved The Rock will be with WWE in the coming months as it was recently reported that WWE is moving forward with creative for WrestleMania as if The Rock will not be appearing on the show.
However, it’s being said that plans could change at any time as WWE would obviously like for The Rock to be involved with WrestleMania 41 next year. One way or another hopefully we’ll get a better idea of what the future holds for The Final Boss when Raw premieres on Netflix on Monday, January 6, 2025.
