For months now the wrestling world has been buzzing about WrestleMania 40 and the two night event kicked off on Saturday. The Rock & Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins in the main event which means Cody’s title match with Roman on Sunday will be contested under Bloodline rules.
Bloodline rules means that anything goes in the night two main event, and The Rock teased during the WrestleMania 40 post-show press conference that fans should expect to see some surprises during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match on Sunday.
“You can [laughs]. Absolutely. ‘Final Boss’ can’t tell you that. I can’t tell everybody that. I’ve gotta keep everybody guessing, including Cody Rhodes. That’s important. So yeah. You can sure expect the unexpected and a lot of surprises [laughs].”
There’s currently no word on what the surprises might be, but there’s been a lot of chatter on social media over the last few weeks regarding who could get involved with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.
Stay tuned for updates.
