John Cena has been a part of some classic feuds throughout his storied career, but many would argue that The Rock was his greatest rival. Cena went one on one with The Great One at WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29 and their rivalry is still discussed often among fans to this day.
In more recent years John Cena has followed in The Rock’s footsteps as he’s focused heavily on his acting career. Both have achieved success in the acting world and it was recently announced that The Rock has been nominated for two Golden Globe awards for his performance in The Smashing Machine.
John Cena recently referenced the nominations when he posted a photo highlighting the nominations on his Instagram with no caption. The Rock responded to the post and praised Cena with a comment which reads as follows:
“Love ya man and as you know, always grateful for all you’ve done for the business we love. You are truly the GOAT. Bring your moonshine, I’ll bring the tequila 🥃 🤣🫱🏾🫲🏼”
The Rock last appeared on WWE programming back in March when he was part of John Cena’s heel turn at Elimination Chamber. Cena was recently asked about the original plans for The Rock and Travis Scott getting involved with the turn, and you can get more on that here.
