The Rock hasn’t made an appearance on WWE programming in quite some time, but The Great One still pays attention to the world of professional wrestling. Earlier this year The Rock took to Instagram to praise Montez Ford, and he double down on that praise during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I love that guy. I love his energy, I love his charisma, I love his work ethic, and you know, in the world of pro wrestling, there’s nothing like the world of pro wrestling. It’s very unique, and it’s also a business. Professional wrestling, WWE, it’s in my blood, it’s my passion, I love it. So for a guy like him, he’s worked his butt off. And by the way, they all do.”
“Everybody in that locker room, the men, the women, but him in particular, he’s got great athleticism, he’s got the whole package. He’s cool, he’s very cool.”
It was recently reported that there are people in WWE who are high Montez Ford and want to see him pushed as a singles star. For now Ford is focused on the tag team division as The Street Profits are currently set to challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles at SummerSlam.
