Fans have been waiting patiently for WrestleMania 34, and on Sunday it’s going down at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
There are some big names on the card, but it appears that fans won’t be seeing an appearance from The Rock.
Chris Van-Vliet of WSVN-TV recently interviewed The Rock who was promoting his new movie “Rampage” and Chris informed The Rock that he would be heading to New Orleans right after the interview for WrestleMania.
He then looked at Rock and said, “See you there, right?”
The Rock responded by saying, “Awesome. You will not see me there — but no.”
He then went on to joke that he’s going to be tag teaming with his “Rampage” co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and their tag team name will be “Kicking Ass and Taking Names.”
It’s been rumored that WWE officials hoped to lock The Rock in for an appearance this year, and it was recently reported that original plans called for him to participate in a musical segment which also would have included Elias and Jeff Jarrett.
The former WWE Champion appeared at every WrestleMania from WrestleMania 27 throught 31, but according to The Great One, he won’t be appearing at the Show of Shows on Sunday.
