For months now the wrestling world has been talking about the WWE Raw premiere on Netflix for some time now, and the show finally aired live from the Intuit Dome on Monday. The Rock’s status for the show has been a hot topic for months and the former WWE Champion confirmed ahead of time that he would indeed be making an appearance.

A video packed kicked off the show followed by a brief introduction from Triple H, then the lights went out. The Rock’s music hit to a massive reaction from the fans at the Intuit Dome and Rock made his entrance with The People’s Championship on his shoulder. Before he got in the ring he presented The People’s Championship belt to his daughters who were sitting in the front row.

Rock said when he was a pebble the only way to watch WWE was to buy a ticket, or watch it on Saturday morning. He said that tonight’s paid attendance was the largest arena gate in the history of WWE. The Final Boss finally did his “finally” intro much to the delight of the crowd.

The Final Boss said there are a few people he has to acknowledge and he thanked Netflix. He then talked about someone who has “carried this company on his back for a year” as he thanked Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare was shown standing in the crowd. Rock told Cody to tell Mama Rhodes “The Rock said hello.”

Rock said he wants to acknowledge one other man which is his cousin Roman Reigns. The fans chanted “OTC!” The Rock referred to Roman as “The Original Tribal Chief.” He said he’s going to be watching the Tribal Combat match closely. The Final Boss closed his promo by telling the fans that he loves them. He went to hit his “if ya smell” line, but then he paused before finishing. The fans chanted his name then he finished the line and left the ring.

The Final Boss walked up to the barricade then embraced Cody Rhodes before leaving.
