The Rock is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling and the former WWE Champion has confirmed that he will be making his return to WWE sooner than later. Ahead of this week’s episode of SmackDown, The Rock confirmed that he will be returning to the blue brand on Friday night when he posted the following:
“Bold and disruptive.
Unpredictable and dangerous.
The Final Boss returns, LIVE on #SmackDown tomorrow at 8ET/7CT on
@USANetwork.
@WWE

The Rock made his big return to WWE programming last month during the Raw premiere on Netflix. The Final Boss cut a promo and seemingly ended his feud with Cody Rhodes. Later in the show he handed the ula fala to Roman Reigns after Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match. The following night The Rock appeared on NXT for the first time and cut a promo to close the show.
In recent weeks there’s been a lot of talk about The Rock’s status for WrestleMania. It’s been reported that WWE had been moving forward with the idea that Rock won’t be working WrestleMania this year, but that plans could also change at any time. One way or another it will be very interesting to see what The People’s Champion has to say when he appears on this week’s episode of SmackDown.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
