Sasha Banks and Naomi have been the talk of the wrestling world ever since they walked out of Raw, and it was recently reported that WWE removed them from the internal rosters.
Fightful Select reports that Sasha Banks and Naomi were removed from the internal rosters a few weeks ago. However, no one that they’ve heard from on WWE’s digital side have been told to remove Banks or Naomi from the official roster on the company website.
Several high level talent in the company were of the belief that Sasha Banks had been released, but WWE has not officially confirmed that’s the case. No internal emails have been sent out confirming the release and names in talent relations had also not been updated on any information regarding the release.
Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. posted a tweet reporting that VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations Erika Schreiber had handled Sasha’s release. There’s said to be little information on Schreiber and WWE didn’t respond when asked if a person by that name was in that role, but talent confirmed that she does work for the company.
WWE creative is operating under the assumption that Banks and Naomi aren’t returning with one member of the creative team noting that they haven’t heard anything in regards to creative plans for them if things get worked out.
However, as of this writing WWE has not confirmed or denied the release reports. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
