The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal has an article about WWE’s WrestleMania 33 possibly coming to the area in 2017.
Meet Minneapolis and Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority officials say that they will work together on a bid to bring WrestleMania to the new Minnesota Vikings Stadium, which will be ready in time for the 2016 NFL season and has already been selected to host the 2018 Super Bowl and the 2019 NCAA Final Four men’s basketball tournament.
The new general manager of the stadium is Patrick Talty, who previously worked as WWE’s VP of Live Events so that could be of help.
It was noted that Philadelphia also plans on bidding for WrestleMania 33.
