Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of Monday Night Raw back and May, and it was announced on the following episode of SmackDown that they had been suspended indefinitely. WWE also announced that a tournament would be held to crown new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, but so far no plans have been announced regarding the tournament.
Fightful Select reports that talent they’ve spoken have received no word on whether or no the tournament for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles is going to happen. It was also noted that they’ve no discussion whatsoever on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles since the tournament was announced.
The number of teams in the women’s tag division was recently reduced when Natalya was moved into the singles division and WWE split up Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
