WrestleMania season is quickly approaching, and there have been a lot of rumors making the rounds in regards to who Roman Reigns could be facing at the big event.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter as of right now there is no name on the books for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. It’s also being said that the fact that nothing is booked as of right now is mind boggling, as in the past the company would have most of the card done so they could head in a specific creative direction.
It was also noted that WWE isn’t under as much pressure because pay-per-view revenue no longer ebbs and flows based on the company getting the formula right for WrestleMania. There’s no pressure for a direction, therefore stories feel thrown together without a natural climax.
Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre is a possibility for WrestleMania based off the promo Drew cut after losing to Roman at Survivor Series, and Drew’s match is not currently locked in for the show of shows.
The Rock is reportedly not scheduled for WrestleMania 37, and according to those close to the situation he has brought up the possibility of facing Roman Reigns in 2022. The creative side has been told that The Rock is a no go for WrestleMania 37.
Drew McIntyre and Daniel Bryan are the two most likely names for Roman Reigns right now, Bryan was originally talked about for TLC, but WWE held off on the match. Big E is reportedly not under consideration as of right now.
As of last week Goldberg was not high on the list of candidates, but it was noted that he may be higher on the list than those in creative are aware of considering he cut a promo hyping up a match with Roman on The Bump, and Vince McMahon doesn’t like people hyping up matches that can’t be delivered.
