The Latest On Sting’s Contract Status And Why WWE Is Selling His Merchandise

Other than the deal to appear in WWE 2K15 Sting has reportedly still not signed a contract with WWE. As has been the rumor for months the two sides are apparently very close to signing a deal but it’s still not official.

The reason why WWE has started selling Sting merchandise is due to the fact that Sting’s likeness is considered the intellectual property of WCW which WWE obviously owns.

All things considered, with Sting being talked about heavily on WWE programming and he himself saying he wants to work WrestleMania next year, it would be very surprising if he and WWE didn’t reach an official agreement sooner than later.

As Jim Ross has recently said however at this point, it’s far from a done deal.
