Everybody wants to work with Rey Mysterio at the moment, but Rey recently suffered an injury during a tag team match at a Northeast Wrestling event in Connecticut.
PWInsider is now reporting that the belief is Rey Mysterio suffered a partially torn bicep during the match.
The severity of the tear has yet to be determined, but Rey was examined earlier this week, and he was able to move his arm in a way that he wouldn’t be able to if he was dealing with a complete tear.
It was reported last week that Mysterio plans to meet with Triple H in the future to discuss the terms of a new deal with WWE, and it’s now being reported that the injury has not deterred the company from negotiating with him.
It’s believed that the two sides are set to meet shortly to negotiate a new deal.
As of this writing the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is still scheduled to face off against Jushin “Thunder” Liger at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Strong Style Evolved event on March 25th.
