The WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view is one of the most anticipated events on the company’s annual schedule, but it looks like plans for the event are still very much in flux.
With Boston in doubt as far as the location goes, it was reported at one point that WWE was looking into alternative locations for the show, and now it seems that the company is preparing for the worst.
WrestleVotes reports that a source noted they were certain that WWE would find a way to do SummerSlam with an audience, but as of right now plans are very much unsure. Holding the event at the Performance Center is an option that’s said to be on the table.
“Recently asked for an update on SummerSlam, source said 2 or 3 weeks ago he was certain WWE would find a way to do it w/ an audience. Today, very much unsure. As badly as they don’t want the event at the PC, unfortunately that’s very much on the table. Decision not yet imminent.”
Stay tuned for more updates on SummerSlam as they become available.
