UPDATE: WWE has confirmed that Dean Ambrose will be undergoing surgery tonight, and it’s suspected that he may have torn a tendon in his triceps. Stay tuned for more updates.
In the world of professional wrestling there is never a good time to be injured, and now one of Raw’s top stars is dealing with an injury.
It was recently reported that Dean Ambrose is dealing with an elbow injury, and WWE noted that he’s set to undergo a medical evaluation.
PWInsider is now reporting that Dean Ambrose is set to head to Birmingham, Alabama, and he will be getting the injury diagnosed on Wednesday. At this point in time there’s no word on how long the former WWE Champion could be out of action.
Ambrose and Rollins have been on a roll as of late, but this is the second time that The Shield’s momentum has been halted after Roman Reigns was sidelined for several weeks after being diagnosed with the mumps.
Fans waited several years for The Shield to reunite, but unfortunately we haven’t been able to see the group work as a unit as much as some would have liked over the past few weeks.
With the Royal Rumble only a few weeks away, and WrestleMania season right around the corner, hopefully Ambrose won’t be sitting on the sidelines for very long.
Stay tuned for updates on his condition.
