The Latest On Cody Rhodes’ Status For WWE WrestleMania 38

Cody Rhodes has been the talk of the wrestling world for weeks now, and everyone is wondering if he’s going to be competing on the Grandest Stage of Them All this year. It’s been rumored that Cody is WWE bound, but it has not been confirmed that he’s signed a contract.

Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins is still listed internally as a WrestleMania match. It’s also been rumored that Cody Rhodes could be showing up on Raw in Jacksonville tonight, but Meltzer noted that no one outside of Vince McMahon and Cody know for sure whether or not he’ll be on the show.

Whether Cody has signed a deal or not is unknown, but with Rollins vs. Rhodes still being listed internally for WrestleMania that seems to indicate WWE believes he’ll be part of the show.

Fightful Select reports that Rhodes has multiple offers on the table from wrestling companies. It was also noted that at least one AEW EVP believed as of last weekend Cody was either signed, or planning to sign with WWE, and that he was set to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.

WWE agents and producers have not been told of any plans for Cody’s impending debut yet. People close to Cody have said that he didn’t even notice Damian Priest did not use The Reckoning/Cross Rhodes on TV last week, but one WWE producer noted that they didn’t believe that was an accident.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes were in Orlando last week visiting Disney World with their daughter, but it hasn’t been confirmed if they were involved in any other business or if they were at the Performance Center. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
