Unfortunately Adam Cole has had to spend a good portion of 2022 sitting on the sidelines and he’s been out of action since June due a concussion he suffered during the fatal four way match for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
Dave Meltzer addressed Adam Cole’s status on Wrestling Observer Radio while noting that there’s currently no timeline for Cole’s return to in-ring competition.
“I mean it’s a concussion, a bad concussion, real bad concussion but I have not heard. I don’t know if we’ll like – he’ll be back when he’s cleared, it could be tomorrow, it could be never, know what I mean?”
Adam Cole made his debut with AEW at the All Out pay-per-view in 2021 and he went on to reunite with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Currently Kyle O’Reilly is also out of action due to injury, and Bobby Fish finished up with AEW back in August. Stay tuned for more updates on Adam Cole’s status as they become available.
