Last year at WrestleMania 38, Edge faced off against AJ Styles on the Grandest Stage of Them All and Damian Priest made his presence felt during the match which allowed Edge to pick up the win. In the weeks that followed The Judgment Day was formed and the group went on to recruit Rhea Ripley.
Since then The Judgment Day has gone through some major changes as Edge was kicked out of the group when Finn Balor joined, and Dominik Mysterio was also recruited. It’s expected that Finn Balor and Edge will be facing off at WrestleMania 39 and Finn Balor hinted during a recent appearance on The Bump that The Judgment Day will be expanding after Mania.
“We are always planning. The Judgment Day are always planning; we’re always plotting, we’re always scheming. I’m always texting with Damian, we have a group chat with me, Damian, Rhea, Dom. We’re plotting, we’re figuring things out. And trust me, once we get ‘Mania behind us, The Judgment Day will be expanding.”
Recently at the Elimination Chamber premium live event Edge & Beth Phoenix picked up a win over Finn Balor & Rhea Ripley, but Balor seems confident that he can beat Edge one on one.
“How can a Hall of Famer possibly be satisfied with that victory at Elimination Chamber when clearly Edge used his wife for assistance? Let’s not even talk about shoddy refereeing by WWE official Eddie Arango. It’s clearly a disqualification. Beth used that stupid move to injure my ribs, to help Edge defeat Finn. He cannot do it one-on-one.”
