This week on Monday Night Raw The IIconics had a big opportunity when they challenged Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Unfortunately for The IIconics they didn’t win the match, and later backstage Billie Kay blamed the loss on Peyton Royce and slapped her across the face.
After the slap Billie Kay apologized to Peyton Royce and tried to console her as they embraced. Both stars appeared on The Bump and they were asked about the slap.
Billie Kay spoke and insisted that people should be focusing on the fact that they made up after the slap.
“That was our first fight in 15 years of friendship. Our first fight ever, and it just so happens that it was televised for the whole world to see. On Monday night our emotions just got the better of us. Peyton got frustrated in the match, and then I got frustrated after the match. I think what we need to focus on, isn’t the fight, it’s what happens after that. It’s us embracing each other. It’s us saying that we love each other, and we’re sorry.”
Kay added that it’s heartbreaking to watch, but they’re ready to move beyond the slap and capture the tag team titles again.
