A few weeks ago The Hardys parted ways with Impact Wrestling, and since then both parties have been involved in a vicious legal battle. Both sides have been taunting each other on social media, as both Matt Hardy and Impact Wrestling are claiming ownership over the rights to the Broken Universe. One thing’s for sure, Matt Hardy is not going down without a fight, and it looks like things are about to get very interesting.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that The Hardys will be making their return to WWE “soon.” The only questions that remain at this point in regards to Matt and Jeff Hardy’s WWE return is what brand they will be working with, and what day they will be returning.
The Hardys will be defending the ROH Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks at Supercard of Honor XI on Saturday in Lakeland, FL in a ladder match, but it’s being reported that they won’t be using their Broken Hardys gimmick for the iPPV.
The brothers will be in Orlando on Sunday for the Broken Hardy Tailgate Party, and they can reportedly debut with WWE whenever they want.
Whether or not they will return on Sunday at WrestleMania 33 remains to be seen, but the fact that WWE turned the Raw Tag Team Championship match into a ladder match, a gimmick match that is Matt and Jeff Hardy’s specialty, has a lot of people talking.
In regards to whether or not the team will be using the Broken Hardys gimmick in WWE, the status of the gimmick seems to be up in the air due to the legal situation with Impact Wrestling.
It’s certainly worth noting that Matt Hardy recently responded to a tweet from WWE which blatantly referenced his gimmick.
Will we be seeing The Hardys on Sunday? Only time will tell, but it certainly looks like we’ll be seeing them back in a WWE ring very soon.
