The Hardys Vacate The WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles, Jeff Hardy To Undergo Surgery

A few weeks ago it was reported that Jeff Hardy suffered an injury, and since then fans have been wondering what the future holds for Matt and Jeff’s SmackDown Tag Team Title reign.

The Hardys appeared on SmackDown Live this week to talk about the rumors, and Jeff Hardy made his way down to the ring while limping on a crutch.

Jeff was asked about the interview in the ring, and he said it would be easier to show everyone rather than explain. A video package of Lars Sullivan beating up The Hardys and other WWE Superstars then aired.

He then said he’s unable to walk on his own because of Lars Sullivan, and he’s going to need surgery, so he will be out for a long time.

Matt said it breaks his heart to have to say it, but he then announced that The Hardys were vacating the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

After Matt gave up the belts, Jeff said when he returns they will win them again, but Lars Sullivan interrupted and destroyed the brothers.

Jeff Hardy was about to hit Sullivan with a crutch, but R-Truth showed up and hit Lars with a chair from behind.

It didn’t do much, as Lars then destroyed Truth.
