The Greatest Royal Rumble is scheduled to rock Saudi Arabia on April 27th and now WWE is raising the stakes in a big way as they made this already impressive event even bigger.
We previously reported WWE was planning a 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble match for the big show overseas but WWE’s attempt to make a huge impact in the area is even more noticeable because WWE recently announced an addition to the Greatest Royal Rumble match and it’s a big one because the show will now feature 7 title matches on the card.
John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shinsuke Nakamura are all advertised to be there in the update from WWE. But just because people like The Undertaker and Chris Jericho didn’t show up in this news release from WWE doesn’t mean they’re not planned for the show either.
It should also be noted that WWE specifically said “50 Man” when they were talking about the Greatest Royal Rumble match. Therefore, it looks like this should squash any rumors regarding this being a contest where they let the women get involved.
After all, WWE wants to secure a huge fanbase in this area which is evident by how much they’re putting on this card. If this doesn’t wind up as a WWE Network special I will be very surprised. After all, Roman Reigns kind of let the cat out of the bag about it being on the WWE Network. Of course, it might be on during an inconvenient time for fans in the United States but an event like this could certainly become one that every fan needs to see.
WWE didn’t announce which titles would be defended on the big show just yet. But if they’re really trying to make some noise in the Saudi Arabia market, it wouldn’t be surprising to see WWE really shake things up in a big way as the roster puts on this huge show overseas.
