Roman Reigns took a long hiatus from WWE after Cody Rhodes defeated him to win the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 40 back in April, but Roman recently made his return at SummerSlam.
During the SummerSlam main event Roman Reigns confronted Solo Sikoa, and he set his sights on the self proclaimed Tribal Chief when he hit Solo with the Superman Punch followed by a spear. Last week on Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns made his presence felt once again when he destroyed Solo Sikoa’s new incarnation of The Bloodline.
This week on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa held the Ula Fala and once again declared that Roman Reigns would have to take it from him if he wants it back. Solo made his way out during the main event segment of SmackDown, and he was accompanied by Tama Tonga.
Solo Sikoa stood in the ring and told the Orlando fans to acknowledge him, but they chanted “OTC” instead. Sikoa said that there’s one man who needs to acknowledge him, and it’s Roman Reigns. He told Roman if he wants the Ula Fala back, then he needs to take it from him.
Roman Reigns’ music hit and Roman made his way out to a big ovation from the fans. Reigns entered the ring then stood face to face with Solo who removed the Ula Fala from his neck. Solo handed it to Tama Tonga and instructed him to leave the ring.
Solo tried to strike Roman Reigns, but Roman hit him back, As soon as Roman got the upper hand Tama Tonga took him out. Roman fought back and threw Tama Tonga out of the ring. He cleared off the announce table as fans chanted “OTC.”
Roman tried to powerbomb Tama Tonga through the announce table. Solo broke it up and threw him into the ring. Sikoa went for the Samoan Spike, but Roman countered with the spear to a huge reaction from the crowd. Reigns picked up the Ula Fala and put it back around his neck as he breathed a sigh of relief.
Jacob Fatu then returned and hit Roman with a superkick. Fatu destroyed Roman while wearing a walking boot. He threw Roman out of the ring then helped Tama Tonga pick him up as Solo Sikoa assisted with a triple powerbomb on Roman Reigns through the announce table.
They rolled Roman back into the ring and Tama Tonga put the Ula Fala bacl on Solo Sikoa. Tama Tonga, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu stood tall to end the show.
