This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, AZ and the show kicked off in a big way as Drew McIntyre quit WWE.
Later in the show Lash Legend & Nia Jax put the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the line when they defended the belts against Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair.
Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss made their way down to the ring first and they were interrupted by The Bella Twins before the match kicked off. The Bellas declared that they are next in line for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, and they informed Bliss & Flair that they would be watching the title match from ringside.
At one point Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax were fighting on the outside and Charlotte went for a big boot on Nia, but Nia grabbed Nikki Bella’s arm and pulled her in, so Nia hit Nikki by accident. Brie then stepped up the Nia and Nia Jax shoved her.
Back in the ring it looked like Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair were about to pick up the win as Alexa went for Twisted Bliss, but Brie got got in the ring and attacked Nia which caused the match to end in a disqualification.
The Bella Twins tried to take out Legend & Jax, but ultimately The Irresistible Forces leveled everyone then stood tall after taking out both teams.
Later in the night Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair confronted The Bella Twins backstage and said that they cost them the tag titles. The Bella Twins responded by telling them that thanks to Nick Aldis, they’re up next.
