Tessa Blanchard has been working her way up the ladder in Impact Wrestling for some time now, and on Sunday night she captured the promotion’s top prize.
Blanchard challenged Sami Callihan for the Impact World Championship, and in the end it was Blanchard who walked away with the gold after she put Callihan away with the Buzzsaw DDT.
In the process Tessa Blanchard made history by becoming the first female to hold the Impact Wrestling World Championship.
Sami Callihan first won the title back in October.
