Originally WWE WrestleMania 36 was set to take place from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL but the company confirmed this week that the Show of Shows will be moving to the Performance Center in Orlando.
The official Ticketmaster listing shows that the event has now been canceled and refunds will be issued at the point of purchase.
In response to WWE moving WrestleMania to the Performance Center the Tampa Bay Local Organizing Committee issued the following statement on the change:
“Our community has waited 36 years to host WrestleMania and while we are saddened that this unforeseen situation has led us to today’s announcement, this is totally the right call for the security and safety of everyone involved. A huge thank you to all our local leaders and our friends at WWE, as we collectively worked through the unprecedented fluidity of the last few weeks. The Tampa Bay-WWE partnership has never been stronger.”
