This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured a big title match, as The Usos put the SmackDown Tag Team Titles on the line against the team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable. The Usos have been dominating the SmackDown tag team division for months, and Gable and Benjamin have been gunning for their titles.
The two teams gave it all they had when they faced off for the titles on Tuesday night, and at one point it looked like Gable and Benjamin had won the belts.
Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable hit a double team move on one of The Usos, and then Gable pinned him to win the match. But as they celebrated with the titles and walked to the backstage area, another referee came down to the ring and challenged the decision.
A replay was shown and it was revealed that Chad Gable wasn’t the legal man, so therefore the title win was announced as null and void.
After the decision was changed, the match was restarted and The Usos took the fight to Gable and Benjamin.
Unfortunately for Gable and Benjamin, they weren’t able to make lightning strike twice, as The Usos hit a double superkick on Shelton Benjamin, and then followed up with a splash for the win.
