The Usos defeated American Alpha to become the SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions a few months ago, and they’ve been holding the belts ever since. A few weeks ago on Tyler Breeze and Fandango won the right to challenge The Usos for the belts, and they clashed with the champions at WWE Backlash on Sunday.
Unfortunately for Breezango, they didn’t manage to get the job done, so The Usos are still the champions, and it looks like the Fashion Police may be moving to the back of the line.
It was recently reported that The New Day are being advertised for upcoming live events this weekend, and PWInsider is now reporting that the team will be returning to TV on SmackDown Live this week.
It was noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that it looks like The New Day and The Usos will be moving forward with a feud which will likely see The New Day challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
The New Day were moved to SmackDown Live a few weeks ago in the Superstar Shake-up, but the group has yet to debut on the show. Kofi Kingston has been out of action due to injury, and WWE officials made the decision to hold off on New Day’s SmackDown Live debut until they could debut as a trio.
