Business has been picking up in the tag team division on Friday Night SmackDown. Currently The Wyatt Sicks are the WWE Tag Team Champions and last week on SmackDown, The Street Profits faced off against The Miz & Carmelo Hayes to determine who would become the number one contenders for the belts. The end of the match came when Montez Ford connected with a Frog Splash on The Miz and Carmelo Hayes looked on as his parter was pinned.
During this week’s episode of SmackDown, The Miz confronted Carmelo Hayes backstage and he brought up how Hayes just watched him get pinned last week. Hayes told Miz that he should have kicked out. The Miz got angry and said they’re supposed to watch each other’s back, but Hayes told Miz that he’s always standing in his way.
Hayes officially split up the team as he told The Miz that they’re done. The Miz got angry and Hayes said that usually he shoots first, but he’s being cool about this. He told The Miz that they’re good before he walked away.
Carmelo Hayes then went on to answer Sami Zayn’s United States Open Challenge and he started to cut a promo as he was making his entrance. However, The Miz attacked him from behind and hit Hayes with the Skull Crushing Finale on the floor. Aleister Black then made his way out to accept Sami’s open challenge and the match kicked off.
