Surprise Hell In A Cell Stipulation Planned For Championship Match?

Hell In A Cell is shaping up to be a pretty nice pay-per-view. It might not be the best Hell In A Cell event in history, but you do what you can since The Undertaker has yet to return… if he ever comes back.

The Hell In A Cell match between Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon was highlighted during the closing segments of SmackDown Live this week. It was a pretty great angle which saw Shane McMahon taking a powerbomb through a merch stand in the concourse inside the Pepsi Arena in Denver.

But the reason these two were fighting in the building was that Shane McMahon announced beforehand their match at Hell In A Cell is going to be a falls count anywhere match. While there could be some very good reasons why this stipulation was made, that’s already been covered here.

Hell In A Cell will feature the first-ever tag team HIAC match featuring the New Day and The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. Therefore there’s still a chance to see a pinfall inside the Cell.

But the question was brought up on Wrestling Observer Live how since Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon’s Hell In A Cell match is now a falls count anywhere match that they should have a singles match on the PPV which is decided inside the cage.

Bryan Alvarez then voiced his opinion on the matter and if this happened it might result in an interesting situation for the Modern Day Maharaja.

“I do expect that at some point on Sunday the cage is gonna lower around Jinder and Nakamura. Which if that’s their idea then why not just make it a Cell Match cause that makes sense, right?”

The Singh Brothers didn’t let a Punjabi Prison stop them because they saw it coming. Perhaps a surprise Hell In A Cell match could catch Jinder Mahal and his buddies off-guard.

If they dropped the Hell In A Cell on the WWE Championship Match, Mahal would have to fend for himself in his attempt to retain the title against Shinsuke Nakamura. Wrestling is fun.
