sting

Sting has certainly maximized his minutes since joining All Elite Wrestling in 2020. The WWE Hall of Famer has been pushing himself to the limit and he’s provided some memorable moments for fans by jumping off high places and crashing down onto his opponents below.

During the 3/23 episode of AEW Dynamite, Sting participated in an 8 man tornado tag team match which saw him team with Darby Allin and The Hardys to take on The Butcher, The Blade, Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen. Jeff Hardy ended up jumping off a window ledge as he landed on The Butcher and The Blade who were on a table below. Jeff’s spot got a lot of people talking, but during an episode of Talk Is Jericho, The Charismatic Enigma revealed that Sting actually wanted to be the one to jump off the ledge.

“That swanton from the window ledge, it was so sketchy up there because it was not even a foot wide. Sting, that day, said, ‘If you don’t want to do it, I’ll do it. I’ll dive onto a group of people,'” Jeff Hardy said.

Matt Hardy also chimed in and recalled his interactions with Sting as they were discussing plans for the tornado tag team match.

“They were talking about it and Darby said, ‘I found this cool ledge that somebody can jump off of, maybe onto a bunch of guys.’ You can see Sting looking back and you can tell his wheels are turning. He looks at me and he goes, very aggressively, ‘Matt, you don’t want to jump off that, do you?’ ‘Well, if it fits, I will. It’s not really my wheelhouse, but if it fits to where I jump off, I will.’ He goes, ‘I’m sorry, the reason I’m saying this is because I’ll do it if you want me to.’ Jeff had already been volunteered by Darby to do it with the swanton,” Matt added.

Over the last few weeks The Hardys have been feuding with The Young Bucks, and The Hardys recently picked up a win over Matt and Nick Jackson at Double or Nothing. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
