Back in December Sting officially made his AEW debut, and the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion has been booked in a match which will see him team up with Darby Allin to take on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks at Revolution.
Last week on Dynamite Team Taz put Darby Allin in a body bag then dragged it behind a truck, and this week Sting confronted Team Taz in the ring.
Taz taunted Sting and told him that he’s nothing without his bat. Sting then dropped the bat and attacked Brian Cage. The Hall of Famer had Brian Cage in the corner, but Ricky Starks attacked Sting from behind and applied a choke using Sting’s own bat.
Sting got out of it, but walked right into a powerbomb from Brian Cage. The Icon last wrestled when he challenged Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions in 2015, and he later announced his retirement during his 2016 WWE Hall of Fame speech. So far this is the first bump that he has taken in AEW.
Darby Allin and Sting will team up to take on Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a Street Fight at Revolution on Sunday, March 7.
The street fight at #AEWRevolution is just around the corner. But, @Sting was ready to throw down NOW.
