There was a lot of anticipation heading into Dynamite this week as it was announced ahead of the show that Big Bill & Ricky Starks would be defending the AEW Tag Team Championship against Sting & Darby Allin in a Tornado Tag Match.
As the bell rang the action quickly spilled to the outside as all four competitors battled throughout the crowd. Sting went into the match undefeated in AEW and his streak continued as Sting & Darby Allin defeated Big Bill & Ricky Starks to win the AEW Tag Team Championship. The end of the match came when Sting pinned Ricky Starks after hitting the Scorpion Death Drop to win gold for the first time in his AEW career.
After the match Sting & Darby Allin celebrated with the belts, but their celebration was quickly cut short as The Young Bucks attacked them from behind. The Young Bucks then continued to beat down Darby Allin & Sting as they grabbed the AEW Tag Team Title belts. Matt & Nick Jackson then dropped the belts on Sting & Darby Allin as Dynamite went off the air.
Sting will team with Darby Allin to face The Young Bucks in his final match at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday, March 3. Stay tuned for updates.
